Welcome to season 2…, Mindful Quotes, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. A series of my own fresh and original inspirational quotes…. Of course, we can all benefit from being inspired…, and many of us have our favorite quote.

Some of you may be searching for yours…. That one quote that inspires you to be a better, healthier, and happier You…. Of course, Success as well…, embodies these attributes.

There is a quote here for almost everyone. Listen for yours.

Hello. I am William Garcia, Philosopher, author of the book titled, Now O’ Clock. Being Mindful, it Always is, and…, your host.

Being a Mindfulness practitioner…, and before I open with the quote of this day, I invite you to join me in a mindfulness affirmation… Ready…. First…, take a deep breath with me…. That felt good, right? Now…, repeat after me…, It is Now O’ Clock…. I am… I am here … I am here now… I am open to be inspired.

Now…, let’s take another deep breath.

Of course…, you can affirm your mindfulness and do the breathing exercise on your own or with someone else, and I strongly recommend you do. Make it at least a twice daily routine. But if you also want to do it with me…, let’s do it.

I believe this mindfulness affirmation will help tune your sense of presence…, your mindful sense of presence in the only occasion that matters in your life…Now.

It is Now O’ Clock…, time for the quote of this day.

When you hear the phrase, Death sentence, what comes to mind? Now, imagine a dream wherein you were sentenced to death. That would be a nightmare, right?

A quote titled: A DEATH SENTENCE

Life is, indeed, a death sentence. But it is a sentence wherein, and while Time does you, you have the freedom to live the best life you can. Why not? …unquote.

I start with reminding you that, we do not spend Time. Instead, it is Time that spends us. If you haven’t already, listen to episode 32; A quote titled, OF MAN AND FISH. Anyway, here I am talking, not just about life itself, but more so, about living.

So, what about living? Well, you are already here, and living along doing what it is you do. If you are now living the best life you can, and are good with it, then, my next question to you is, are you good enough for now, or are you trying to live an even better life? If that is what you are doing, then keep on trucking. You are serving your sentence well. Good for you.

Now, if you are not living the best life you can, now that we are talking about it, what is it that is stopping you from living that life; a life that is supposed to be better than the one you are living? Can you see yourself overcoming what is in your way? Is it someone? If that someone, is you, are you prepared to face and accuse that Self?

I take that back. Let me take that back. Face yourself, yes. Don’t bother with the accusation. That takes too much energy, and beating yourself up, well, just leaves you wary and exhausted. Save the energy. You will need it.

Living the best life you can, will require, first of all, that you want to; that you really want to. If you do, and I get the sense that you do, then you can use the energy saved from not beating yourself up, will power and enthusiasm, to pursue and live a better life. If you have or haven’t already, listen or relisten to Season 1 episode 4, titled, Say Yes to No. It is about Will power.

If living a better life seems a lot to overcome, it may very well be. But it would be, only if you want to try to build Rome in one day.

Listen, living the best life you can is a daily and step by step pursuit; a journey you may find surprisingly interesting and fun. If not, make it so.  Do simple and likeful things along the way. You know what you like.

Now, I don’t know how much of your sentence you have already served; much less how much you have left. But what I do know for a fact, and this is true for me, you and everyone who is now serving, is that now is the only time we can do something about almost anything, and that there is only so much we can do today.

So, the idea is to put one foot in front of the other and to not look back for anything, other than reference.

Make this a daily habit and, at some point, you may find the habit itself to be a better life than the one you had been living without being in the habit.

Before you know it, you will have become a habitual reinventor of your Self, and that is a good thing to be doing moving forward.

Being a new self is a good start to living the best life you can and deserve while serving your sentence.

Think about this for a second, the only difference between you and the person serving a death sentence in prison, is that you are free to choose and live the best life you can. So, choose it, and live it, while you can.

Hold on for a second. Before you jump all over what I just said, people who are serving a death sentence in prison may very well be living the best life they can under those circumstances. The difference though, is freedom.

That off the table, my only hope today, is that I have inspired you to do just that, live the best life you can, and that you will start right now; at least giving the idea serious thought. Cheers anyway!!

Tune in next time for the quote of the day…. It may be that one quote you are searching for….
